Macquarie University is set on a 135-acre campus of beautiful and spacious parklands in leafy North Ryde on Sydney's famous north shore. It's close to the action of cosmopolitan Sydney, yet far enough for squote_australiatudents to focus ontheir academic pursuits in a peaceful, supportive environment.  The University has 25,000 students including over 4,000 international students.

ACCOMMODATIONS

Macquarie University is the only university in Sydney that guarantees student accommodations. The University offers a range of accommodations, including temporary housing, permanent on- and off-campus accommodation, and advice on non-University off-campus housing

SEMESTER DATES

Macquarie’s dates vary slightly from year to year. As a guide, classes run as follows:

  • Semester 1:  Feb. 13 - July 3, 2009 (includes a two week mid-semester break and end-of-semester exams)
  • Semester  2:  July 24 - December 11, 2009 (includes a two week mid-semester break and end-of-semester exams)

  • enrolled in good standing at an American College or University
  • sophomore, junior or first semester senior
  • minimum GPA of 3.0
  • recommendations from two current instructors from students home college or university
  • application deadlines: October 30 for Semester 1 or for the academic year;  April 15 for Semester 2.

In today's world, graduates with skills and talent in emerging areas of study are more valuable than ever. At Molloy, we pride ourselves on giving our students the opportunity to explore these new and exciting fields. Our unique program in Music Therapy is the only B.S. program on Long Island that is approved by the American Music Therapy Association. Molloy's Music Therapy program combines both music course work to develop your musicianship skills, and clinical experiences using music therapy for children and adults with special needs. Earn your bachelor of science while learning the necessary theoretical knowledge, practical techniques and clinical experience required to use music as a therapeutic modality with children and adults having special needs. The program culminates in an exciting clinical internship during your senior year to prepare your for real life work experience
